Terms & Conditions
The basics of using Landcode.
This draft sets out the ground rules for using Landcode as the product works today. By using Landcode you agree to these terms; where they conflict with law in your country, the law wins.
Using Landcode
You're responsible for what you post, list and send. Keep it yours to share, keep it lawful, and keep it civil. We may remove content or accounts that break these terms.
The marketplace
- Commission. Landcode charges a 14.95% platform fee on the item subtotal of a sale. It is disclosed at checkout to buyers and in the payout preview to sellers, and it is charged on items only — shipping passes through to the seller.
- Sellers own their items. The seller is responsible for the accuracy of a listing, for fulfilment and shipping, and for any warranty, refund or dispute. Landcode provides the storefront, not the goods.
- Tickets. Event tickets carry a different, separately disclosed fee. The host is responsible for the event itself.
- Payments. Payments are handled by regulated providers (Stripe / Paystack). Payouts go to the seller's connected account.
Contact is off-platform
Landcode connects people but does not host conversations. Contact with a creator, seller or host happens off-platform via the links they share. You're responsible for your own off-platform dealings.
Prohibited content and conduct
- Illegal goods or services, or anything you don't have the right to sell or post.
- Infringing, stolen, counterfeit or misrepresented items and media.
- Harassment, hate, or content that targets or endangers others.
- Spam, scams, or attempts to move payment off the disclosed, fee-bearing flow to avoid it.
- Exact home addresses or attempts to defeat the map's area-level privacy.
As-is, for now
Landcode is an early product provided “as is”, without warranties, while features move from device to server. To the extent the law allows, Landcode isn't liable for losses arising from off-platform dealings or from third-party payment, storage or map providers.
Changes
These terms will evolve with the product; the current version always lives at this address.
